Appling County High School FBLA Hosts Informational Meeting After School

The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter at Appling County High School recently held an informational meeting after school to introduce students to the opportunities and benefits of joining this nationally recognized organization.

During the meeting, FBLA advisors and officers shared details about the club’s mission: to prepare students for careers in business and leadership through academic competitions, community service, and professional development activities. Students learned about upcoming events, such as regional and state competitions, leadership conferences, and chapter service projects that help members build real-world skills.

Participants also had the chance to ask questions about membership requirements and how FBLA can help them gain valuable experience for college and future careers. The meeting concluded with a getting to know you activity planned by our student leadership team and a reminder that it’s never too early to start preparing for success in business and leadership.

Students who missed the meeting but are interested in joining FBLA can contact Jena Cranford or Alison Lamb in Room 302. Dues are $25 and include a t-shirt.  Dr. Flowers also joined our meeting and provided a fundraising opportunity for students to participate in to pay for his/her dues and club expenses.  If you are a community member or parent and wish to sponsor a student member, please email Alison Lamb at Alison.Lamb@appling.k12.ga.us.
